My goal is to give my students a love of music and have that love motivate their desire to develop skills to inspire lifelong musicianship. You never know what doors may open!

In my own growth as a piano teacher, I am constantly trying to refine the ways in which I can teach the musical skills I want my students to have to flourish as musicians. I still take lessons myself with a master teacher, who has become a mentor and a friend.
I have completed two levels of Orff training, am an active member of the MTACSFWV and I take advantage of the wonderful program offerings for teachers at the Los Angeles Music Center’s Institute for Educators. Additionally I have done early childhood teacher training through Music Rhapsody.
Through these professional organizations and others like TopMusicPro, I continue my professional development with workshops, seminars, online courses, and master classes.
Some other fun things to know about me: I like yoga, strong coffee, and dancing. I love being out in nature, but I’m not a camper. In high school I was a basketball player.
Maybe that’s another reason I became a teacher – I love to learn! And there’s always more to learn and discover. I find that fun, and I hope to pass that sense of fun and curiosity along to my students.
